Jacobus Jaco Louw Senior has been a well-known name in the Port Elizabeth motor trade arena since 1995.His career until March 2014 included roles at Auto Pedigree,Peugot Port Elizabeth and Kelston Motor Group.
- March 2014 - A New Beginning
In March 2014 Jaco Louw Senior started his own business and succeeded in establishing a small but successful business called SA Car Prospector, built on ‘old school values’, a scarce commodity in these modern times. The main focus of SA Car Prospector was mainly wholesale and also facilitating the sale of vehicles on behalf of sellers.
Staying true to these values, Jaco Louw Senior created the opportunity to build long-lasting business relationships with private individuals and businesses.

- The COVID-19 Challenge & Opportunity
As we all know, Covid -19 came around in December 2019 and my son, Jaco Louw Junior, was retrenched at the end of March 2020.
- Jaco Louw Junior Joins the Team
Jaco Louw Junior, a qualified electrical engineer with key account managerial experience in the motor manufacturing arena, joined Jaco Louw Senior with great enthusiasm. He is a valuable asset with a fresh outlook on the latest and modern trends in terms of marketing.
- Hence the decision to create a fresh and brand-new business model under the name

Our strategic evolution
We initially started off with the idea to maximize the then-existing wholesale business but very soon we were faced with the Covid -19 Vehicle stock shortages. We had to rethink our strategy and we decided to change our business model to a Retail Motor Dealership.

Due to our love and experience with VW vehicles, Jaco Louw Motors mainly focus on immaculate late model VW vehicles, which are VWs that are accident-free, have low mileage, and are still under factory warranty, and of which ownership is guaranteed.
